About the Position: Supervisory Production Controller, GS-1152-13, in the Directorate of Production Management.
Duties
Direct and oversee depot operations for assigned commodities to include command, control, computers, communications, intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (4CISR), electronics, avionics, and missile guidance and control systems.
Serve as coach, facilitator and negotiator in coordinating department initiatives and in consensus activities among department members.
Supervise, through subordinate supervisors, the efforts of non-supervisory personnel who perform logistics management services and marketing efforts in support of assigned commodities.
Serve as depot's technical advisor for new workloads providing recommendations and planning for new technologies, equipment, facilities and training required for organic support.
Requirements
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Must obtain and maintain a Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification through Project Management Institute -OR- an APICS/Association of Operations Management, Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) within two years.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience Requirement: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Leading teams who manage production control or logistics management activities in a manufacturing, fabrication, repair or overhaul environment; 2) Preparing and presenting briefings to communicate an organization's goals and accomplishments, and to analyze problem areas; 3) Utilizing Management Control Processes to include establishing organizational procedures and standards, and measuring employee performance and corrective actions; AND 4) Coordinating organizational programs, employee activities and interdepartmental workload by reviewing targets/controls, objectives, metrics and budgets. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
