Duties

Plan and program operations in the maintenance production shops and verify capacity for feasibility and completion of the schedule before release of the master schedule to the shop floor. Develops the master schedule for commodity production, fabrication, and procurement of products to be stocked or planned for, either before shipment or prior to final assembly. Investigate and perform root cause analysis of repeated schedule failures at the shop floor level and take the necessary corrective action. Provide technical advice and recommend alternative solutions to various project/problems, techniques, and local policy.

Requirements

  • Must obtain and maintain a Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) from the Association for Supply Chain Management (formerly known as APICS, American Production and Inventory Control Society) within two years.
  • Required business travel up to 10%.
  • Successful 5-year background investigation; NACI T1.
