You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the MATERIAL READINESS, AIRCRAFT MATERIAL DIRECTORIATE of COMNAVAIRLANT.
Duties
You will serve as the Deputy, Aviation material Readiness (N423A).
You will provide support in the identification and resolution of aircraft maintenance and material readiness related issues, monitoring logistics readiness, and conducting process improvement initiatives with regards to aviation maintenance.
You will also plan programs, monitors and controls for the introduction and implementation of aviation automated maintenance management information systems for all CNAL/CNAP organizations.
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience utilizing expert knowledge of all technical, management, production, logistics, and engineering methodologies associated with aircraft maintenance afloat and ashore.
Experience utilizing expert knowledge of aircraft flight and readiness reporting systems, expansion of fleet repair capabilities, aeronautical technical publications authoring, distribution accounting and management systems, and various inventory systems throughout Naval Aviation.
Experience possessing skills in providing direct development of Aviation Maintenance strategy, plans, and process improvement initiatives.
Experience possessing Subject Matter Authority on logistics analysis and material readiness issues.
Experience utilizing computer hardware and software technology skills in the operation, design, management.
Experience utilizing knowledge of the principles and techniques of the various budgetary processes as they relate to aviation maintenance production, policy, support, and the installation or design of mechanized information systems and computer-generated products.
