This position is part of the Department of Energy's, Office of Policy, Office of Operations (OP-10). As an Administrative Officer, you will coordinate all administrative and resource management activities for the Department.

As an Administrative Officer, you will:

Qualifications
GS-13 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:
Coordinating administrative management functions related to IT and telecommunications, property management, space and facilities management, copier management, security administration, and emergency planning.
Serving as a timekeeper administrator, including pay and leave administration, for office staff.
Organizing the centralized assignment and control of space management for a major organization.
GS-14 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following:
Coordinating a variety of administrative services in 2 or more of the following areas: Human Capital Management, Logistics, IT, Telecommunications, Facilities Management, Personnel and Physical Security, or Emergency Planning.
Interpreting time and attendance regulations to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper coding of timekeeping data in reporting systems.
Organizing space planning including the identification of space needs, office design, floor plans and furniture allocation.
Providing property accountability for all non-expendable property and equipment in accordance with orgnizational policy.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

CTAP/ICTAP candidates: To be considered "well qualified" you must (1) meet all of the requirements as described in this section; and 2) be rated "well-qualified", which is defined as having a score of 85 or better.
