You will serve as a Technician in the Quality Management Division of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13 and GS-14.
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project.
Duties
You will serve as NSWC Crane's METCAL Technical Manager (MTM) in alignment with MTM program established by NAVSEA calibration technical warrant holder and NSWC Corona Metrology Engineering Agent.
You will develop, maintain, and oversee local MTM calibration policy for NSWC Crane.
You will be responsible for performing a variety of metrology and calibration functions, but will primarily adjudicate requests for MTM approvals, prepare, and submit required MTM artifacts to NSWC Corona.
You will approve or deny requests for temporary use of unsupported TMDE in RDTE and unsupported applications through exercise of 14 MTM authorities.
You will ensure successful bi-annual audits by NAVSEA METCAL EA regarding MTM implementation and utilization.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and developing calibration procedures to implement and maintain local policy requirements for an organization.
