About the Position: Serves as a Senior Logistician and Technical Manager for the Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB)Current Operations (OPS). Advises the AFSB leadership and staff, and subordinate elements on technical program matters.
Duties
Provide support in establishing, maintaining, and improving upon the readiness partnership of the AFSBn/LRC, field commander, and the national logistics support complex.
Analyze and evaluate assessments and provides input for final reports which define findings, problems, resolutions and actions required.
Research for logistics advice, assistance, and training to provide to all echelons in various logistics areas.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This is a deployable Department of the Army Civilian position. As such, incumbent must pass an initial and annual medical examination and receive/maintain up-to-date required immunization for the overseas or deployed location.
- Position may require Temporary Duty (TDY) of any length including 6 months in duration or longer in CONUS or OCONUS in austere locations.
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain an official passport.
- Incumbent must successfully complete on-line computer based training and residential deployment training, as applicable.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Emergency-Essential". Emergency-Essential designation takes precedence over any transportation agreement or military recall status.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) evaluating logistics performance to detect developing trends and substandard performance of the programs; 2) providing analysis regarding recommendations for process, policy, and procedural modification or implementation; and 3) using applicable regulations to develop corrective actions for logistics problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
