About the Position: Serves as the AFSB chief of operations responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and integrating operations, training, and security actions across the AFSB area of responsibility (AOR).
Duties
Serve as the supervisor to civilian and military personnel and provides contractor personnel oversight.
Validate training, mobilization, and integration plans ensuring readiness in support of contingency and non-contingency mission requirements.
Manage the AFSB’s training and readiness programs by developing, assessing, and analyzing the Mission Essential Task Lists (METL) to determine compliance with the command’s wartime readiness status.
Prepare correspondence, operational plans (OPLANs), operations orders (OPORDs), and fragmentary orders (FRAGORDs) to support critical mission operations.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 10% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) performing logistics program management that includes planning, developing, coordinating, and integrating operations, training, and security actions; and 2) directing highly technical, complex logistics program management activities supportive of combat and contingency units. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
