Duties
In this position, you will:
Serve as an acquisition subject matter expert, business advisor, and liaison to internal and external customers.
Represent the agency in federal work groups related to acquisition systems improvements and maintenance.
Lead the development, revision, and/or implementation of policy directives, guidance, training, and procedures related to acquisition systems changes, updates, or replacements.
Perform historical and current contract data reviews from various sources and identify areas where innovative techniques and efficiencies can be applied.

Qualifications
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level (ZA-III at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as experience applying the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) to the acquisition system, representing the agency at the Department level, and collaborating with and advising stakeholders regarding acquisition systems implementation and maintenance.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
