Duties
Serves as an acquisition subject matter expert, business advisor and liaison to internal and external customers. Leads the development, revision and/or implementation of policy directives, guidance, and procedures as necessary. Performs reviews of historical and current contract actions to identify areas where innovative techniques and efficiencies can be applied. Serves on various workgroups providing analysis, evaluations and implementation advocating for the acquisition workforce with Departmental personnel. Assists with responses to internal and external audits and other reporting requirements. Develops, provides and implements training on current acquisition topics for the workforce. Leads the development and coordination of comprehensive policies, procedures, and directives necessary for the operation of acquisition programs consistent with law and regulation. Participates as a member of acquisition review boards using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) knowledge and expertise. Serves as an authority on workforce certification programs.

Qualifications
Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level (ZA-III at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as experience consulting with the acquisition workforce on career programs, to include providing guidance on certification programs and maintaining consistent data on the agency's acquisition workforce in the acquisition career management information system (i.e. CSOD). Experience also includes applying the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and collaborating with and advising stakeholders and/or multifaceted members of the acquisition workforce on best practices for career development.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
