This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for STRL Mission Support Position to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position serves as the Capability Developments Integration Specialist in the Medical Experimentation Division in Fort Sam Houston, TX.

Duties

Develop policies and/or plans to support the Army Health System. Interpret laws to develop strategies that align with organizational goals, focusing on Health Service Support and/or Force Health Protection. Communicate regularly with higher headquarters to provide project updates.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for Tier 3 - Non-Critical Sensitive (Moderate Risk) security clearance Secret or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position may require the incumbent to travel up to 30 percent of the time.
  • This appointment is subject to completion of a 3 year probation period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements.

Basic Requirement for CAPABILITY DEVELOPMENT & INTEGRATION SPECIALIST (MEDICAL) DE-0301-3 Specialized Experience: To qualify, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as; (1) Collaborate in the drafting of policies and/or procedures for organization programs; (2) Present and/or verify data related to program development ensuring alignment with organizational goals; and (3) Provide updates to stakeholders regarding the project's status and/or milestones. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service DB-02 (GS-11 equivalent).
