About the Position: Serves as the Executive Officer (XO) and principal advisor to the Director and Deputy Director, G-3/5/7, Plans, Operations, Training, and Safety, Installation Management Command and multiple Division Chiefs

Duties

Provide direct support to the G-3/5/7 by assisting in management, direction, and/or synchronization of line and staff programs, functions, and activities. Provide advice and recommendations to the G-3/5/7 director and deputy regarding line and staff program operations throughout IMCOM. Tasks, directs, and coordinates with other organizations and offices engaged in the development and implementation of plans and objectives to ensure that actions are in keeping with the Director’s guidance. Supervise the Executive Assistant for the Director, G-3/5/7. Supports major programs with analysis of key operational, management, resources, and administrative requirements and systems.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes providing expert guidance and assistance in the management of complex projects, studies, and action items keeping the director and deputy informed of critical developments and providing expertise advice on administrative aspects of various problems or situations that may arise. Assignment will include coordination across several staff sections as well as interaction with high level officials within the Army. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
