This position is located in the Government Accountability Office. As a IT Specialist (ENTARCH) you will be responsible for This position(s) will be supporting the SFD (Software Factory Division). The incumbent will be responsible for producing intuitive and user-centered designs and artifacts and project deliverables for new and existing enterprise applications as part of their UX design methodology.
Duties
As an IT Specialist (ENTARCH), PT-2210-2 your typical work assignments may include the following:
Conducts user research activities such as interviews, surveys, and usability tests to gain deep insights into user behaviors, needs, and pain points.
Produces high-quality and logical flow diagrams, low and high- fidelity wireframes, storyboards, user journeys, user flows, personas, information architecture diagrams, and site maps to visualize design concepts and validate usability.
Represents ISTS to strengthen internal and external stakeholder relationships, engages with staff throughout GAO to understand constraints of digital publishing, conducts whiteboard solution strategies, applies user-centric design principles, identifies change management needs, and adapts to evolving requirements.
Speaks at conferences and develops publication materials to further visibility of ISTS.

You may qualify at the BAND II level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:
For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

Specialized Experience:
The PT-II position require one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower band/grade PT-I, CS-I, PE-I/GS-11 level (or equivalent) in the Federal Service, or comparable private/public sector.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Such experience must be IT related and is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT. Specialized experience is defined as experience in conducting, analyzing, and gathering usability tests, results, and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and inform design interactions.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
