As a Supervisory IT Specialist (Office Chief), within the Networks and Telecommunications Services (NaTS) Service Line, you will be responsible for establishing modernization policies, procedures, schedules, resources, and security of the systems that deliver IT services. You will manage a team of highly skilled specialists in integrating, operating, securing, and planning of enterprise and mission network systems.
Duties
Ensure the organization’s strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated and integrated into the team’s strategies, goals, objectives, and work.
Coordinate day-to-day activities as they relate to Networks and Telecommunications Services (NaTS) modernization and integration efforts.
Exercise authority in maintaining critical network systems, monitoring and alerting systems, and ensuring issues are communicated to NaTS management.
Provide oversight of Integrated Operations technology roadmaps and integration into all service line processes.
Maintain expert-level knowledge of the technical design and capabilities of NaTS managed networks.
Lead technical troubleshooting efforts and teams to identify and resolve issues affecting mission critical network communication issues.
Perform a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
Ensuring the effectiveness, management, and execution of technical requirements for the enterprise architecture of IT Integrated Operations Services;
Overseeing Integrated Operations performance management and policy/process compliance (e.g., management controls for Objectives and Key Results (OKR), Key Performance Indicators (KPI), Key Risk Indicators (KRI);
Leading collaboration with stakeholders to meet the technical requirements of Integrated Operations Services.
AND
You MUST also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:
