Duties
Typical work assignments include, but are not limited to:
Applies business and management best practices for application to CISA programs and/or operations; administrative program policies, regulations, goals and objectives; management evaluation plans, procedures, and methodologies.
Conducts a variety of authoritative, comprehensive, complex and sensitive/classified projects and studies that encompass the analysis and evaluation of the distribution of work in the development of strategies, plans, and analysis in support of CISA priorities and NRMC portfolios and task forces.
Demonstrates a customer-service and team-player focused mindset while leading and performing program support duties.
Gathers information, identifies and analyzes issues, and develops recommendations to resolve substantive risk management challenges.
Coordinates among positions and organizations and appropriate staffing levels and skill mixes to accomplish planning efforts.
Leads the development of new plans, programs, and initiatives in a dynamic and complex environment.
Identify objectives, metrics, and goals, based on analysis of interrelated issues of effectiveness, efficiency, and mission oriented operating guidance. Determine approaches to achieve objectives
Qualifications
GS-13
You qualify for the GS-13 grade level, if you have:
EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level (or equivalent) performing the following duties:
Employee uses effective project management principles and initiative to work collaboratively across workforce to gather input and develop work products on administration, business operations, plans, correspondence, and requirements to provide appropriate work products to support leadership requirements. And;
Employee performs most tasks under supervision with management controls/in progress reviews to develop final options/recommendations/courses of actions, work products, and correspondence for leadership approval.
GS-14
You qualify for the GS-14 grade level, if you have:
EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level (or equivalent) performing the following duties:
Employee uses effective project management practices and self-initiative to independently work across workforce to gather input and develop work products on administration, business operations, correspondence, plans, and requirements to provide appropriate work products to support leadership requirements and intent. And;
Employee operationalizes leadership intent and develops final options/recommendations/courses of actions, work products, and correspondence for leadership approval leveraging organizational awareness, personal effectiveness, self-initiative and intellectual curiosity.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
