About the Position: Serves as a multi-functional Logistics Management Specialist who provides guidance and staff level support to geographically dispersed Army Field Support Battalions (AFSBns), Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) under the cognizance of Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB) area of support (AOS).
Duties
Review logistics doctrine, policy, plans, procedures, operations, support systems in order to recommend improvements.
Coordinate logistical plans and procedures for mobilization and contingency exercises.
Participate in planning related to significant changes in mission and management resources to identify potential impact on assigned program functions, structure, and process alignment within the organization.
Prepare correspondence, plans, operations orders and fragmentary orders to support Organizational operations.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- As an Emergency Essential position the incumbent must continue to perform the duties and requirements of the position to ensure the success of combat operations or to support combat essential systems subsequent to mobilization or an evacuation order.
- This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain an official passport.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) evaluating logistics performance to detect developing trends of assigned programs; 2) recommending actions and/or initiatives to enhance logistics management efficiency; and 3) analyzing logistics processes, policy and/or procedural issues to develop corrective actions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
