About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, Field Support Brigade, Support Operations, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington
Duties
Serve as a materiel maintenance program manager and subject matter expert on materiel maintenance performance and capabilities in multiple geographically separated and diverse materiel maintenance organizations assigned to senior Commanders)
Provides senior staff level advice to a Commander and guidance to subordinate organizations related to Army tactical and commercial materiel maintenance in an industrial setting.
Integrate functionality and the products from logistic systems such as Logistics Support Activity (LOGSA), Logistics Information Systems (LIS), and/or Acquisition, Logistics and Technology (ALT) systems to enhance productivity and control costs
Research technical documentation to prepare senior level Commander briefings on complicated materiel maintenance program issues for members of Army Material Command (AMC), major subordinate commands, and tenant commands
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a Tier 3 security Investigation
- This is a deployable DA Civilian position. As such, incumbent must pass an initial and annual medical examination and receive/remain up to date on required immunization for the overseas or deployed location.
- This position may require temporary duty (TDY) of any length including 6 months in duration or longer in CONUS or OCONUS in austere locations.
- This position is designated as Emergency Essential (EE). The incumbent provides immediate and continuing support to combat operations and/or supports maintenance, repair of combat essential systems, and other logistics operations.
- This position may require TDY up to 30% of the times.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Reviewing logistics criteria to ensure allocation and proper use of resources; 2) Utilizing maintenance logistics performance policy, plans, procedures to accomplish program execution; 3) Compiling reports / briefing related to workload, operation / planning / administrative support for higher command. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
