About the Position: Serve as an Emergency Management Specialist Program Manager for the Flood Control and Coastal Emergencies (FCCE) and Flood Risk Management (FRM) Programs with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Great Lakes and Ohio River Division in Cincinnati, OH.
Duties
Serve as the Program Manager and Regional subject matter expert for the Flood Control and Coastal Emergencies (FCCE) and Flood Risk Management (FRM) Programs.
Supervise the Readiness and Contingency Operations (RCO) Team workforce and work operation.
Assist the Regional Contingency Operations Chief to oversee region-wide Response and Recovery Operations.
Coordinate with FEMA, DOE and other agencies to coordinate exercise schedules to enhance the readiness posture within all LRD Commands.
Represent the Commander in venues related to Readiness and Emergency Management. Accountable for timely delivery of quality work products and services from the team.
Develop policies for the LRD commander and publishes directives for Division staff and Districts on Emergency Management programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is covered by the Civilian Drug Abuse Testing Program. Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R "Condition of Employment for Certain Civilian Positions Identified as Critical under the Drug Abuse Testing Program".
- Position Requires a Top Secret Security Clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes providing advisory and planning related to operations and development of resources in support of Flood Control and Coastal Emergency activities; coordinating with the Federal Emergency Management Agency to enhance the readiness posture of an organization; and providing interagency response to national emergency situations.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
