About the Position: Serve as an Emergency Management Specialist with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Great Lakes and Ohio River Division Headquarters in Cincinnati, OH. Relocation Incentive may be authorized. Situational telework as determined by agency policy.

Duties

Utilize knowledge of the principles, methodology and practices of emergency operations planning, serves as staff emergency operations planner within the Emergency Operations Team of the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division (LRD). Develop and coordinate policy for the employment of LRD engineering resources for national emergency, mobilization missions assigned by higher headquarters, requests for emergency assistance, or contingency support operations. Participate in planning LRD support to the Civil Sector during national emergencies and mobilization as well as assuring continuity of operations and Corps of Engineers survival. Position requires experience planning civil disaster response or military operations. Serves as central contact point for coordination and for progress surveillance and speaks with authority on all technical and administrative elements of the mobilization activities within LRD. Develop, modify, coordinate, and implement policy, procedures, standards and criteria for the LRD Emergency Preparedness Plan and implementation of USACE Authorities under PL 84-99.
