About the Position: The incumbent works under the direct supervision of the Chief, Operations Division, G 3/5/7Directorate, Headquarters, Installation Management Command (HQ IMCOM) providing administrative and policy direction concerning overall priorities and objectives.

Duties

The incumbent directs and oversees the Future Operations Branch (FUOPS); serves as principal assistant and subject matter expert to the Chief, Operations Division. Provide administrative and policy direction concerning overall priorities and objectives for the Branch. First line supervisor performing a range of supervisory responsibilities. Incumbent is knowledgeable of Army Doctrine, Design and Operational concepts.

Requirements

• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.
• This position may require the incumbent work non-standard work hours.

Perform tasks using a wide range of technical concepts, including practical knowledge of the Military Decision-Making Process and the Army Design Methodology. Resolving issues utilizing cross functional teams such as across the global enterprise, facilitation of senior leader decision making forums and an inherent knowledge of Installation Management Command business practices. Experience writing, editing, and reviewing Warning Orders, Operations Orders, and Fragmentary Orders at the Brigade level or higher. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
