About the Position: About the Position: The incumbent will be assigned to the 404th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.
Duties
Serves as Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and integrating logistics operations.
Provides direction and staff level oversight of operations dispersed throughout the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) area of support.
Exercises technical and administrative supervision.
Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets priorities, and schedules completion.
Serves as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for contracts and task orders established to execute LRC missions within the area of operation.
Prepares and submits documents required to establish contracts, monitors performance, and accepts invoices for payment.
Conducts performance management reviews (PMRs) and submits documents to the contracting office.
Reviews and analyzes the short-and long-range strategic logistics planning objectives and goals.
Ensures that established policies and procedures are being uniformly applied and recommends remedial measures as necessary.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel approximately 10% of the time away from your permanent duty station.
- This position requires incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position requires incumbent to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Planning and/or directing multiple logistical activities such as maintenance, supply, and transportation; 2) Monitoring and/or evaluating contractor performance; 3) Providing guidance on logistical policies and/or procedures; and 4) Leading projects and/or personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
