You will serve as a General Supply Specialist in the Logistics Support Center (LSC) Division within Fleet Operations Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SAN DIEGO.
Duties
You will provide direct supply, logistics and other support services to the FMS program.
You will monitor the status of, and expedite requisitions through supply channels, control points, and ports to final destination to assure scheduled deliveries are met for all ships or programs.
You will off-load/load material from trucks, review documents for accuracy and verify material contents by the Unit Identification Code (UIC) and activity name on the receipt document to ensure material being process is at correct destination.
You will authorized purchases using Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) necessary to support the FMS program.
You will research hazardous material for proper documentation (Safety Data Sheets).

- This position requires occasional travel.
- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of basic/ trainee General Supply Specialist experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying analytical work of general supply programs, integrated systems, provisioning, allowance, configuration management, requirements determination, inventory, engineering, budgetary planning and execution, and supply system maintenance. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1.) Assisting senior staff members in the collection and analysis of data; 2.) Attending conferences and participate in working groups; 3) Utilizing a knowledge of the Government Commercial Purchase Card Program (GCPC) and an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) management information systems sufficient to research, procure, reconcile, and monitor material purchase transactions in support of the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program; 4.) Performing warehouse operations such as inventorying, receipt processing and proper handling and packaging of material in support of shipping and transporting hazardous materials and equipment and 5.) Research and validate National Stock Numbers (NSN's) and part numbers using various systems such as LogiQuest, Federal Logistics Information Systems (WEBFLIS), Allowance Parts List (APL), Allowance Equipment List (AEL), and other technical manuals to find and identify materials necessary for operations.

Education

1 full year of graduate level education
or
superior academic achievement
