About the Position: This is a MILITARY TECHNICIAN POSITION with the 79th Sustainment Support Command, 821 Transportation Battalion, 561 Regional Support Group, 451 Expeditionary Sustainment Command located in Topeka, Kansas. This position requires an active membership as a Soldier in the Army Reserve before a start date can be set. Duties

Provide advice regarding individual training requirements to management. Ensure training requirements are met through coordination with management. Compose reports on the standing of program requirements. Evaluate regulations for required changes in training programs. Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with organizational inspection program.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • THIS POSITION REQUIRES ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP AS A SOLDIER IN THE U.S. ARMY RESERVE (USAR).
  • This position requires a Personnel Security Investigation.
  • This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing military training guidance to advise management on training requirements; tracking status of unit and/or individual training to ensure compliance; monitoring a training budget; and submitting training applications for military personnel. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Organizational Management and Leadership, Public Administration, Business Administration, or Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
