This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, Pay and Personnel Center (PPC), Operations Division, Military Account Support Branch in Topeka, KS.
Duties
You will be responsible for the overall supervision and administration of 47 military and civilian employees assigned to the business line, directly and through four section chiefs. You will provide supervisory, administrative, and technical management of the U.S. Coast Guard's automated active duty and reserve pay and personnel system.

- This position requires a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI).
- This position is designated as a key position.
Qualifications
You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Some examples of specialized experience are:
-Assisting with the administration of civilian or military personnel systems.
-Assisting with the administration of civilian or military pay systems.
-Assisting in the development of software and procedures in support of automated pay and personnel systems.
-Processing pay entitlements and assisting with ensuring payroll is accurate and timely.
-Providing pay and personnel services in a responsive and timely manner.
-Carrying out EEO policies.
-Training subordinates or providing advice related to work and administrative matters.
