This vacancy is for a GS-0301-13, Supervisory Business Unit Manager located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, Pay and Personnel Center, Operations Division, Military Account Services Branch.

Duties
You will serve as a Supervisory Business Unit Manager and will be responsible for providing supervisory, administrative and technical management of the U.S. Coast Guard's automated active duty and reserve pay and personnel system. You will also provide personnel support to USCG customer and for the timely processing and payment of semi-monthly payroll.
Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Some examples of specialized experience are:
Assisting with the administration of civilian or military personnel systems.
Assisting with the administration of civilian or military pay systems.
Assisting in the development of software and procedures in support of automated pay and personnel systems.
Processing pay entitlements and assisting with ensuring payroll is accurate and timely.
Providing pay and personnel services in a responsive and timely manner.
Carrying out EEO policies.
Training subordinates or providing advice related to work and administrative matters.
NOTE: Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
The Office of Personnel management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees.
