About the Position: Incumbent will serve as a multi-functional Logistics Management Specialist who provides guidance and staff level support to geographically dispersed Army Field Support Battalions (AFSBns), Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) under the cognizance of Army Field Support Brigade (AFSB) area of support (AOS).

Duties

Reviews logistics policies, procedures, equipment and support systems, which address operations, precedent-setting, controversial, sensitive and/or complex transportation and logistics support issues. Develops plans to manage strategic and tactical continuous improvement initiatives in accordance with the Commander's strategic vision. Drafts correspondence, briefings, plans, operations orders and fragmentary orders at a Brigade level or higher, to support operations. Provide technical guidance and advice relating to NTV Management for assigned Non-tactical Vehicle fleets; Container Management; Personal Property, Passenger Travel, Freight, and MOB/DEMOB/Rail/A/DACG. Provide support for garrison base operations, deployments, redeployments, and MFGI strategic operations. Serve as brigade Transportation Action Officer for Operation Orders (OPORDs) and Fragment Orders (FRAGOs).

• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.
• In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Emergency-Essential".
