You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MIL) in the MEDICAL DISABILITY TRANSITION BRANCH (PERS-954), RESERVE MEDICAL BENEFITS DIVISION (PERS-95), RESERVE PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT (PERS-9) of NAVY PERSONNEL COMMAND.
Duties
You will identify problems impacting employees (e.g., separation, retirement, Temporary Disability Retired List) to assist with resolution.
You will determine employee eligibility for retirement (e.g., Voluntary Early Retirement Authority (VERA), discontinued service retirement, disability retirement).
You will review workload metrics to evaluate work performance of junior personnel.
Requirements
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Update webpage to reflect current laws, policies, and process changes to Reserve Personnel Services; 2) Adjust workflow and schedules to accommodate changes in priorities, deadlines, increased work, and personnel amiability; 3) Process re-evaluation orders for members on the Temporary Disability Retired List (TDRL); and 4) develops and drafts executive policy, guidance, and procedures for the Disability Evaluation System (DES).
