You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the PRODUCT SUPPORT DIVISION, SENSORS WEAPONS & LAUNCHERS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER, located in Port Hueneme, CA.
Duties
You will provide and coordinate with a general degree of independence, Integrated Product Support requirements between the Program Sponsors, NAVSUP, NSWC PHD, Contractor(s) and other Navy activities.
You will prepare, coordinate and integrate the identification, development, acquisition and delivery of logistics requirements and resources for assigned programs.
You will assist in development of supporting data and provides comprehensive logistics planning information, logistics plans, recommendations, alternatives, impact statements and letters of certification to program/project office.
You will function as an IPS member, assisting senior IPS management personnel for programs assigned in support of technical and logistical services required for the accomplishment of tasks.
You will develop and implement comprehensive IPS plans to identify actions, responsibilities and schedules to ensure that IPS is available throughout selective phases of a system/equipment life cycle.
You will conduct verifications and certifications to provide that adequate parts and documentation are, in fact, available at the right time and place.
You will coordinate in support of fleet personnel and supporting activities efforts.
You will sign off on documents attesting that support is available and the equipment may be installed or rejects that installation as not being ready for inadequate supply reasons.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
For the GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing and maintaining an installation schedule to provide modernization and planning services, while resolving scheduling conflicts and ensuring timely completion of alterations for the improvement or optimization of a logistics management program.
For the GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Evaluating or coordinating an installation schedule to provide modernization and planning services for the improvement or optimization of a logistics management program.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience
for the GS-11 only:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
or
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Percentage of the required education plus percentage of the required experience must equal one hundred percent.
