The primary purpose of this position is to support the Air Force Deputy Program Executive Office (PEO) for Weapons/Deputy of the Armament Directorate by performing a variety of administrative functions and taskings related to the mission of the Directorate. This position supports and liaises with Armament personnel to include those geographically separated areas.
Duties
Serves as the Executive Administrator for the Deputy Director and, as such, is a liaison between the PEO and Deputy's office and subordinate organizations regarding administrative and management functions.
Provides advice, assistance, and guidance on a wide range of issues, subjects, and taskers.
Reviews and evaluates complex responses from various Directorate organizations prior to submission to the Director to ensure clarity and completeness of reply.
Prepares correspondence, speeches, briefings, and other external communications for the Deputy Director as well as the PEO.
Serves as a focal point (OPR) for the PEO, Deputy Director, and PEG Chief for briefing requirements, presentations, and multi-media events.
Requirements
- The actual work performed in this position has been reviewed and determined that it does not meet any of the exemption criteria defined in 5 CFR 551. This position has been designated as nonexempt.
- Work may require travel away from the normal duty station on military and commercial aircraft
- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Miscellaneous Administration and Program Series- 301.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience in analytical and evaluative methods/techniques and data base administration to conduct studies, analyze findings, and make recommendations on a variety of issues and problems of a factual or procedural nature. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Four years above high school is qualifying for the GS-05 level. Graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to various administrative support functions.
Knowledge of conventional analytical and evaluative methods and techniques.
Skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques.
Skill in written and oral communications.
Ability to research, analyze, interpret, and apply regulations, policies, and procedures.
Ability to maintain good working relationships and to gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy, and diplomacy.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
