This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as a Financial Management Analyst administering and executing the Department of State Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Administration Title 22 funds, to include Government of Iraq National Funds, legacy Iraq Security Forces Funds (ISFF), the Foreign Military Financing (FMF) program and International Military Education Training (IMET) funds.
Duties
As a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST at the GS-0501-12 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Develops spend plans for Title 22 funding accounts, employing various analytical methods, procedures, and historical trends.
Advises program managers, and other interested parties, on the status and availability of funds on programs, and all regulatory aspects and financial management processes applicable to their programs
Reviews and analyzes DSCA, and Congressional-level policies, guidance and documents to understand their meaning and impact on Security Cooperation operations, programs and funding stream.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-12 grade level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service:
Analyzing the results and potential effects of budgetary actions to determine and communicate the implication of key findings on the financial statements
Reviewing and evaluating execution of the financial management program for program performance, and policy compliance
Developing systems, methods, or procedures for financial management of directed programs and reimbursable work, to include a wide variety of funding (such as Department of State, Title 22 Foreign Military Finance, Administrative and Title 22 Foreign Military Sales, Administrative)
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
