This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for serving as the Deputy Comptroller and manages and oversees DSCA's Title 10 DoD resources.
Duties
As a SUPV FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-0501-15 level, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serving as the Deputy Comptroller and manages and oversees DSCA's Title 10 DoD resources.
Developing and providing oversight over short-range and long-range financial and budgetary planning of Security Assistance (SA) and SC programs to support known and projected fiscal requirements.
Supervising the full range of budget, financial management, and audit activities.
Providing oversight and direction to conduct the formulation, presentation, justification, accounting, audit, execution, and financial reporting of requirements and resources to support the execution of DSCA's global SA/SC programs.
Serving as the technical expert for identifying need for change in organization priorities, business, and financial processes and procedures and taking necessary actions to develop and implement corrective actions plans for SA/SC programs, as required, on all Government Accountability Office (GAO) and Inspector General Audits.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-15 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service:
Overseeing the full range of budget, financial management, and audit activities.
Performing financial planning and oversight of program activities.
Managing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating DoD or Government-wide financial and accounting practices.
Skill in serving as a technical representative for budgetary and financial reporting, and/or the implementation of DoD or Government-wide financial management policies and procedures.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
