About the Position: Serves as a senior Human Resources Assistant (HR Asst) in the Directorate of Human Resources (OHR) Military Personnel Division (MPD).
Duties
Provide advice, assistance, and guidance and independently performs a wide range of recurring personnel transactions such as assignments, reassignments, details, transfers, etc.
Assist specialists in coordinating with command officials on assignment of officers reporting for annual training and active duty for a specific period of time.
Issue and authenticate all types of orders.
Examine information in records, documents, and database systems (ATRRS, JPAS) to insure completeness, eligibility, and conformity with applicable regulations.
Provide data for IET/AIT/AWOL/Deserter reporting.
Perform a variety of complex procedural and substantive Human Resource (HR) assistant and clerical duties associated with all services necessary for the PCS travel.
Serve as a Human Resources (HR) Professional that monitors and processes IPPS-A transactions generated by unit/battalion/brigade.

Current Civilian Employees of the Organization
Specialized Experience GS-5: Have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level grade level in the federal service which includes the following. Experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintaining records to ensure they are accurate and up to date; 2) Using automated systems to perform administrative support functions (i.e. reviewing information for discrepancies, maintain databases, and preparing reports, briefings, and correspondence); and 3) Utilizing standard office equipment (i.e., scanners, copiers, fax machines, and office automation systems) to perform a substantial range of office automation support functions.
Specialized Experience GS-6: Have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level grade level in the federal service which includes the following. Complete forms and documents for review, assist others or to enter the information into automated systems to update military records. Assist military personnel to complete forms or provide guidance for things such as ID cards, change of duty station, retirements, or separations. Update and research information in automated systems to update the systems or provide information to other personnel.
Time in Grade Requirement for GS-06: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
Specialized Experience GS-7: Have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level grade level in the federal service which includes the following. Perform work and provide guidance with subjects such as In and out processing, records/systems updates, Soldier Readiness processing, ID Card, deployment processing, reassignments, retirements, separations, promotions and evaluations for military members. Use office automated systems such as computers, faxes, printers to complete forms, letters and documents, research data to provide information or update data and programs along with records.
Time in Grade Requirement for GS-07: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
