This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Department of Defense Prevention Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This position is located with the National Guard Bureau Joint Staff, NGB-J1, Manpower and Personnel Directorate, Arlington, Virginia.
Duties
Coordinate with members on the multi-disciplinary prevention team.
Monitor revised training by evaluating fit to the target population with consideration to acceptability and feasibility of the training.
Oversee program evaluation of adapted education programs across S/T/DC (States/Territories/District of Columbia).
Apply public health model to advise on prevention workforce implementation.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes evaluating all Prevention Workforce efforts and training; measuring and improving human services program effectiveness and productivity and making recommendations for program improvement; producing reports and analyzing the data to inform the implementation of the Integrated Primary Prevention Program; advising high-ranking officials on decisions and other matters relating to the work of the directorates Primary Prevention Program Management efforts.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12)
