You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Strategic Transformation Division (Code 100TO.11), Transformation Office (Code 100TO) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Duties
You will establish direction for staff and project managers that they, in turn, use to plan work to be accomplished.
You will assign work based on priorities and selective consideration of the difficulty the assignment requires.
You will review work for attainment of desired outcomes.
You will establish performance standards and evaluate performance.
You will conduct long range, intermediate, and emergent planning for the Shipyard's overall transformation goals.
you will determine availability of manpower, resources, contracting, funding, program requirements, and other support functions essential to the accomplishment of the Transformation Office Mission.
You will develop and implement change management strategies and plans to support successful adoption of transformation initiatives.
Requirements

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience selecting and applying principles, theories, and methodologies of program analysis.
Experience managing multiple transformational projects in various planning or execution phases operating at once.
Experience leading teams by monitoring, organizing, delegating tasks for transformation initiatives performed by personnel.
Experience presenting information to groups of all levels.
Experience analyzing data.
Experience consulting and advising higher level management.
Experience implementing the knowledge of Shipyard management and processes.
