Duties

Uses knowledge that is acquired through formal training or extensive on-the-job experience to perform one's job; works with, understands, and evaluates technical information related to the job; advises others on technical issues. Collaborates with Maximo system users and specialized information technology resources to resolve errors and troubleshoot user concerns. Develops and implements Maximo system procedures and associated programmatic policies, plans, and guidelines or business standards. Prepares and coordinates responses to suggestions, comments, and programmatic feedback. Develops and implements procedures to guide use and development of a Maximo system. Identifies necessary Maximo program improvements and leads teams (to include subject matter experts across multiple programs or projects, specialized information technology resources, etc.) to develop changes to procedures, policies, and guidelines or business standards. Works in coordination with internal resources and/or Public Affairs to prepare factsheets, newsletters, memoranda, and other information to describe the Maximo system, programmatic requirements, and objectives. Serves as point of contact for questions about the Maximo system, program, and related issues. Responds to inquiries, requests, and programmatic reporting requirements. Provides training and support to Maximo system users, leveraging the appropriate technology or medium to convey relevant information, processes, and requirements. Conducts briefings for senior management and higher-level leadership on policies, plans, programmatic requirements, and guidelines or business standards. Represents the organization in presentations related to a Maximo system and program to stakeholders and the public. In collaboration and consultation with specialized information technology resources that support the Maximo system, plans, organizes, and oversees efforts and projects for the Maximo system and program. Serves as a senior advisor to management and leadership on strategic plans to manage and monitor the operational efficiencies of an organization's Maximo system and program.

To qualify at the GS-12, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-11 level in federal service having demonstrated the following experience: applying knowledge of the navigation, functionality, and application of IBM Maximo® (Maximo) for an organization; supporting multi-disciplinary teams and Maximo system users at an organization; collaborating with specialized information technology resources and users to identify and research Maximo system errors; participating in reviewing, interpreting, and developing policy in the usage of an organization's Maximo system; identifying metrics to identify program improvements and monitoring the effectiveness of a Maximo program; supporting the development of programmatic budget requests for an organization's Maximo program; and supporting communication of Maximo program changes and issues to internal and external stakeholders. To qualify at the GS-13, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to at least the GS-12 level in federal service having demonstrated the following experience: Leveraging expertise in the navigation, functionality, and application of IBM Maximo® (Maximo) to effectively enhance enterprise asset management capabilities within an organization; leading multi-disciplinary teams and Maximo system users at an organization; collaborating with specialized information technology resources and users to identify, research, and resolve Maximo system errors; reviewing, updating, and developing policy or guidelines in the usage of an organization's Maximo system; identifying metrics to recommend and implement program improvements while continuously monitoring the system's effectiveness throughout all Maximo lifecycles; developing programmatic budget requests for an organization's Maximo program; and communicating Maximo program changes and issues to internal and external stakeholders. You must include months, years and hours per week worked to receive credit for your work and/or volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as "varies". Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Time-In-Grade: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower-grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including time-in-grade restrictions and any selective placement factors if applicable, by 12/13/2024.
