Duties
Direct employees in the performance of work related to the support of litigation including providing administrative record and discovery assistance to counsel in the litigation.
Direct and oversee the timely preparation of quality bankruptcy proof of claim forms and then works with counsel to support claims in complex bankruptcy proceedings.
Make decisions regarding the implementation, amendment, or interpretation of litigation support procedures, practices, and strategies.
Conduct briefings to upper management when requested.
Diplomatically and competently communicates and coordinates with stakeholders to support litigation objectives.
Qualifications
At the GS-14 level, you must meet the following qualification:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level. Specialized experience is that which has equipped the applicant with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes: (1) Supporting litigation efforts by collecting, analyzing, organizing, and sharing with counsel documents necessary for litigation; (2) Supporting bankruptcy litigation by collecting claim information, analyzing the information, filing proof of claims forms in bankruptcy proceedings, and supporting such claims in litigation in consultation with counsel; (3) Writing, evaluating, and editing the writing of others for logical order of presentation of information, consistency of appearance, grammar, and punctuation of discovery, bankruptcy, settlement briefings, and other litigation related documents; and (4) Leading litigation support projects involving extensive communication, collaboration, and coordination with various stakeholders on complicated or sensitive issues.

TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
