About the Position: Incumbent will perform various budget functions for USAG Redstone, involving the formulation, justification, and/or execution of budgets for organizations, programs, or projects.
Duties
Analyzes productivity, workload and program accomplishments.
Reports the need for transfer of funds between object class and line item accounts under the same budget accounts.
Adjusts funding targets as needed by taking action to avoid over-distribution of program authorizations and funds by continuously reviewing issue actions AND analyzing status reports.
Identifies requirements short-falls and trade-offs and prepares appropriate supporting documentation.
Maintains automated budget/financial systems, such as IMCOM ONLINE (IOL), General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS) and the Army Standard Financial System (STANFINS).

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience with the Federal government which includes analyzing and evaluating the effects of continuing in program plans and funding; identifying and resolving a range of budgetary problems, including alternative methods of funding and substaintial reprogramming; maintains automated budget/financial systems utilizing General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS); Administers the garrison overall budgetary system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
