About the Position: Serves as an Army Contracting Command's (ACC) Senior Budget Analyst with responsibility for the formulation of the budget request and execution of the approved annual operating budget for the assigned program.
Duties
Serves as the program technical authority on all budgetary matters.
Serves as focal point for questions from actions officers and troubleshooting for all budget/financial system questions.
Responsible to the supervisor for assuring the work of assigned team is carried out by performing a range of coordinating and supportive duties and responsibilities.
Serves as coach, facilitator and/or negotiator in coordinating team initiative.
Estimates and reports to the team on progress in meeting established milestones and deadlines for completion of assignments, projects and tasks.
Serves as a subject matter expert on the Defense Travel System.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of15% of the time.
- This is a Financial Management Level III Certified position. This certification must be obtained within 24 months of appointment. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.

Specialized Experience: One year specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 or GS-13 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service that includes: Develops and publishes policies, procedures and guidance for the formulation and budget execution of new and current Army and selected Joint Information Systems programs and preparing narrative justifications and statistical data in support of the President's Budget requests. his definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03 or GS-13).
