Duties
You will support senior Human Resource Specialists in the management of numerous programs to include leave programs, a robust awards and recognition program, the telework program, the employee assistance program, and the drug-free workplace program.
You will assist with the maintenance and regular reporting of important workforce status reports, including attrition, awards budget allocations, and utilization of various work-life programs.
You will participate in onboarding of new employees by briefing on work-life programs, benefits, retirement, and pertinent contact information.
You will manage hard copy and digital files for assigned areas of responsibilities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Department of Navy recordkeeping guidance.
You will support senior Human Resource Specialists in data gathering for suitability adjudications.
You will initiate requests for personal actions related to the processing of monetary or time-off awards, separations from employment (retirements, resignations), extended leave without pay, and disciplinary or adverse actions.
You will, as assigned, you may distribute important work-life, benefits, retirement, and pay information to the entire NCIS workforce via established distribution lists.
You will utilize a variety of information technology tools to complete assignments.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
GS05: Your resume must also demonstrate at least 3-years of general experience, 1-year of which is equivalent to the GS-04 grade level. Work equivalent to the GS-04 grade level should demonstrate the ability to analyze problems and identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; plan and organize work; and communicate effectively orally and in writing;
OR- successful completion of a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree
OR- combination of experience and education that equates to 100% of the requirement
GS07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate providing basic information on the procedural and regulatory requirements of one or more human resources specialties.
OR-1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement
