About the Position: This is for an Operations Officer position at Fort Moore, Georgia for 75th Ranger Regiment.

Duties

Manages operational plans and readiness reviews to meet strategic objectives Develops training and readiness guidance for regimental units to ensure mission success Overseas synchronization of multifunctional staff sections to optimize operational output. Leads policy development for integration of specialized enablers and support structures Represents command at senior level meetings and provides expert guidance on ARSOF operations period Advises command on planning and execution of high-level operational strategies

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (SCI) security clearance.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, employee must successfully pass a urinalysis screening prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Percentage of time spent TDY is 30%.
  • One year supervisory probation period may/will be required.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
