About the Position: This position is located at the 75th Rangers Command Fort Moore, GA.
The 75th Ranger Regiment is a unique Special Operations Force comprised of specially selected and well trained Soldiers and DA Civilians. Our four-time volunteer force provides our Nation a range of capabilities Special Operations: conduct large-scale Joint Forcible Entry Operations and execute surgical Special Operations Raids around the globe in high-risk, uncertain, and politically sensitive areas.
Duties
Serve as the Director of Combat Developments Directorate, 75th Ranger Regiment, on all matters pertaining to operations.
Serve as Project Manager for all of the unit's requirements.
Serve as technical expert on RDT and E, breaching, mobility, acquisition and C4I. Provides detailed knowledge of ongoing RDT and E efforts being pursued by the Army.
Provide managerial oversight to senior civilian employees, military officers, and senior NCOs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance.
- This is a drug testing position.
- TDY may be up to 25 - 40%.
- In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization.
- DD must execute, as a condition of appointment, a written agreement to remain in Federal Service in this position for at least three years.
- Employee must be able to deploy OCONUS with USSOCOM.
- Incumbent is subject to psychological screening.
- IAW AR 600-50, incumbent is required to file OGE Form 450 (Confidential Financial Disclosure Statement) annually.
- This position requires a Driver’s License.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized includes experience in 1) Providing knowledge of 75th Ranger Regiment Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership, Personnel and Facilities 2) Utilizing Mastery of the steps required to conduct rapid combat development and experimentation through qualitative methods of analysis 3) Experience in translating a SOF experience, staff coordination and end user feedback into requirements documentation that identify 75th Ranger Regiment operational shortfalls 4) Experience in DOD's Planning, Programming, and Budget, and Execution System (PPBE), and DOD's Acquisition System, and their interrelationships with the Requirements Generation System (RGS) 5) Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations, USSOCOM regulations, and 75th Ranger Regiment memorandums, policies, and precedents that guide the management and documentation of 75th Ranger Regiment requirements.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-13.
