About the Position: 75TH RANGER REGIMENT HEADQUARTERS FORT MOORE, GA
The 75th Ranger Regiment is a unique Special Operations Force comprised of specially selected and well trained Soldiers and DA Civilians. Our four-time volunteer force provides our Nation a range of capabilities Special Operations: conduct large-scale Joint Forcible Entry Operations and execute surgical Special Operations Raids around the globe in high-risk, uncertain, and politically sensitive areas.
Duties
Serve as the as the Staff Director for the 75th Ranger Regiment.O-6 level Regimental Commander in the United States Army (USA), directly supporting two O-9 level Commands via the 75th Ranger Regiment.
Responsible for ensuring proper resourcing and support for geographically dispersed unit locations, force protections measures, human wellness and family programs, and executive oversight of contracts and contractors.
Recommend the development and review of plans, programs, policies and procedures required to execute a wide range of activities.
Lead and ensures implementation of new ideas, procedures, processes, methods or approaches of substantial scope, difficulty, and complexity in areas of short/long-range strategic planning.
Act as the primary strategic advisor to the commander to provide theories and propositions to ensure the Regiment is fully postured to counter future threats in the 10–15-year time horizon.
Advise the Commander in top management discussions to determine long and short-term policies and plans, goals and objectives.
Responsible for establishing and managing multiple processes to integrate new concepts, equipment, and force structure to sustain and enhance the Ranger Regiment nested force modernization and resourcing processes.

- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 30% of the time.
- This position may require travel to foreign countries and remote locations.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
