About the Position: This position is located at U.S. ARMY FCC DEPUTY DIRECTOR/CHIEF OF STAFF G-8 (FINANCIAL CAPITAL MANAGEMENT) DIVISION, Fort Eustis, VA. Fort Eustis, Virginia is in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. Local Transportation via the Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) bus service to the surrounding area which includes Hampton, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake and Virginia Beach, York County, Gloucester, Suffolk, and Smithfield.
Duties
Perform financial analysis, budget analysis, cost analysis, and cost estimating services to organizational leadership within a 3-Star Headquarters (HQs).
Provide advice, assistance, and guidance on budgeting, cost estimating and financial management related information.
Prepare action plans for closing out prior year accounts, Program Objectives Memorandum (POM) development, Five- Year Defense Plans (FYDP), and other requirements.
Provide review and reconciliation oversight or assistance for DoD and Army mandated programs including the Managers Internal Control Program, Joint Review Program.
Analyze financial/budgetary programs, data call deadlines, objectives, gaps and conflicts in program and budgetary information.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a security clearance at the Secret level.
- This position requires business travel (TDY) to other duty locations approximately 15% of the time.
- This position is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position within 2 years of entrance on duty date.
- This position may require a one year trial/probationary period.
