About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the National Ground Intelligence Center, Science and Technology Directorate, C5 Division, Charlottesville, VA 22911.

Duties

Serves as a branch chief in the Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Cyber, and Intelligence Division, responsible for leading a team charged with the production of all-source intelligence on foreign, tactical voice and data systems. Organize, manage, and administratively supervise a team of intelligence analysts, scientists, and engineers (military and civilian), ensuring that finished products are accurate, timely, and meet the customers’ needs. Perform the full range of supervisory duties, including performance evaluations, time and attendance, and guiding employee’s professional development.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
