You will serve as a FOREIGN DISCLOSURE OFFICER in the Information Warfare Division, Special Assignment Branch, Special Assignments Section of DIR, MARITIME OPERATIONS CTR, USFFC.
Duties
You will provide guidance on US Classified Military Information (CMI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) disclosure and release to foreign recipients.
You will ensure that each release is consistent with National Disclosure Policy, SECDEF Directives, SECNAV Instructions and the command’s Foreign Disclosure and Release policies.
You will assist the Command Foreign Disclosure Officer (FDO) with developing and maintaining a competent disclosure program.
You will guide foreign disclosure activities and assure terms, conditions, and requirements are in conformance with US Government and US Navy policies.
You will control and influence international security cooperation and interoperability with allied participants in operations and exercises.
You will determine propriety of disclosure of information to foreign government in response to request, and review documents, pictures, equipment and data proposed for release.
Requirements

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
- A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.
- Term appointments may be extended up to 8 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations.
- This is an obligated position. The former incumbent has return rights to this position under PL 86-585.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Directing and coordinating with employees working in a foreign disclosure capacity.
Development and overseeing of foreign disclosure policy, procedural guidance, training, and requirements for the execution of foreign disclosure matters.
Managing Foreign Visit Requests to command wide facilities for One-time, Recurring and Extended Visits.
Advising staff personnel and management on Department of the Navy (DON) policies procedures, and guidelines as related to assigned program areas.
Conducting operations in gathering, categorizing, managing and disseminating information via multiple communication platforms in support of USFFC engagement priorities and operations.
Developing, reviewing and evaluating technical and operational documents, reports and/or directives.
