About the Position: The Resource Management Office (RMO) Garrison, Budget Branch working as a Budget Analyst with responsibility for planning, scheduling and coordinating the efforts of the garrison budget, to produce a plan and execution process for the organization and supported garrison activities.

Duties

Ensures that obligations and expenditures are made in accordance with existing laws and regulations and that they are made in a timely and effective manner. Proposes alternative methods of financing unfunded requirements. Develops narrative justification statements and presentation material for budget submissions and reprogramming requests. Recommends approval/disapproval on funding requests.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5%.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Budget AdministrationBudget ExecutionBudget Formulation, Justification, and PresentationControl of Funds Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
