Duties
As a Protocol Officer, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list:
Establish protocol goals and objectives, consistent with those of higher headquarters, which meet the long-range objectives of the DoD, Army and the CAC.
Supervise military and civilian personnel assigned to the Executive Services office.
Responsible for organizing social and protocol arrangements for official presentations and events including honors, awards, retirements, and assumption-of-command ceremonies.
Brief the Commanding General, Chief of Staff, Garrison Commander and other high level CAC officials on the planning status and coordination of all official visits to the CAC and associated social functions.
Monitor expenditures and propriety and maintains records regarding expenditures for social and protocol events.
Write protocol policies and is the authority for the CAC on social and protocol matters.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance throughout the duration of employment.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) may be required up to 25% of the time.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
