This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: As an Acquisition Analyst, you will work for the continuous improvement of the organization's acquisition efforts. You will work in conjunction with contractors to ensure procurement/ acquisition goals are met.
Duties
Analyze contract files for the improvement of acquisition efforts.
Monitor procurement actions for the organization.
Serve as Contracting Officer Representative on services contracts.
Provide guidance to personnel on the Acquisition Management Oversight process.
Determine necessary action based on regulatory changes and acquisition requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Business travel required 10% of the time.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Foundational Career Level Certification or Contracting Professional Certification within 36 months of entrance on duty.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Assisting in the contract Pre/Post award process; (2) Analyzing acquisition requirements to recommend correct procedural requirement; AND (3) Assisting the Contracting Officer Representative with procurement/ acquisition contracts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
