You will serve as an Activity Command Information Officer in the Code 104 ACIO/Information Technology (IT) Division of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI.
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-06 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-14 and GS-15.
Duties
You will be responsible for the administrative and technical supervision of the Code 104 ACIO/IT Division, evaluates subordinate supervisors and Code 104 staff personnel, approves leave.
You will recommend discipline, awards, promotions and other personnel actions; resolves employee complaints; and furthers Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action (AAP) goals and objectives.
You will be assigned authority to approve official time and is assigned authority to approve travel authorizations and vouchers.
You will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, compliance, strategic planning and leadership for the Naval Undersea Warfare
Center Division Newport’s (NUWCDIVNPT) information technology infrastructure and systems.
You will be responsible for Research, Development, Test and Evaluation, IT governance, Navy Marine Corps Internet/Next
Generation Enterprise Network Program management, and IT resource management.
You will develop and execute Division Newport’s IT strategic planning and budgeting processes.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, 752-Cyber Policy and Strategy Planner, Advanced, the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- You are willing and able to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 15 pounds in weight.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-05 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: responsible for the operation, maintenance, compliance, strategic planning or leadership of Information Technology infrastructure and systems to support mission objectives for an organization.
Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
