This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.
You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the CYBERSECURITY TEST AND EVAL BRANCH of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI.
Duties
You will serve as Subject Matter Expertise in Cyber Security compliance, Security Classification Guides (SCG), policy, and architecture.
You will facilitate Fleet communications and act as the primary point of contact for TYCOM engagement.
You will lead the technical execution of all Code 25 Fleet facing and deployed Cyber Security tasking.
You will develop and execute a Fleet Cybersecurity strategy that supports the multiple cybersecurity threat vectors.
You will support the standing up and execution of NUWC's Cyber Fusion Response Center (CFRC) and Cyber incident response center.
You will support the installation of cybersecurity tools onboard submarines.
You will provide mentoring / career development for junior cybersecurity specialist on fleet operations and missions.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 (GS-11/12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying information technology security principles to ensure IT compliance with cybersecurity policies. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
