You will serve as a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the LOGISTICS SUPPORT DIVISION (TRFF-520), REQUISITION AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT BRANCH (TRF-523) of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.
Duties
You will review and process all material and services requisitions to ensure accuracy and completeness of data.
You will process status, cancellations, resubmittals and modifications as required.
You will analyze status and initiate follow up of problem items to ensure timely receipt of material.
You will coordinate with personnel from issue control storage, shop stores and technical library to determine availability of possible substitute or replacement material.
You will maintain liaison with the Repair, Weapons Repair and Planning Departments, other TRIREFFAC Supply Department, Divisions and federal supply sources for resolution of material problems.
You will initiate material and services availability checks for system and non-system material and service requirements that may be needed in an emergency or for advanced planning purposes.
You will provide Job Control Number (JCN) material statuses, reviewing and analyzing JCN material status to identify and highlight potential problems which might delay refit work completion.
You will take appropriate action to modify material deliveries for industrial material as instructed to meet advised job schedules.
You will coordinate the processing of all job order closeouts and residual industrial material returned to stores by shops; monitor the take-up/redistribution of residual industrial material.
You will prepare messages, reports and other written correspondence pertaining to operational and technical matters.

- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
Qualifications
To qualify for the SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, GS-2005-07, your resume must demonstrate at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience controlling and monitoring all material requests from time of receipt of requisitions until receipt of material.
Experience collaborating with other TRIREFAC Supply Department Divisions in the staging and movement of material.
Experience establishing effective working relationships to anticipate and meet the needs of both internal and external customers.
Experience performing quality control coordination tasks required to ensure the quality of products/services resulting from work performed.
Experience demonstrating skill in utilizing job-relevant information systems and/or software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, automated research tools, database applications.
Experience and knowledge utilizing Navy/DOD supply policies, procedures, and standards related to inventory management, control point, traffic, storage and similar considerations.
